Iran Cannes winner actor compares Trump with Hitler

Iranian superstar Shahab Hosseini compares US President Trump with Adolf Hitler.

Iranian superstar Shahab Hosseini has drawn a comparison between US President Donald Trump and notorious Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.

The leading actor of Asghar Farhadi’s latest film ‘The Salesman’ recently compared Trump with Hitler on his Instagram account, referring to the executive order recently signed by the US President to prevent citizens of seven major Muslim countries from entering the US.

Comparing the ban with the black era in the late 1930s and 1940s and the rise of Adolf Hitler with its disastrous consequences that will not be erased from the world’s memory, Hosseini wrote “It is unfortunate that the globe is suffering the conflict of science and technology progress and regression of human culture.”

“The fate of all tyrants … in history is like a mirror before humanity, especially Trump and his supporters, through which they learn about the past,” he also noted.

Hosseini also called on Hollywood directors to make movie about Nimrod who was the king claiming to be the Lord of the world but was killed by a mosquito.

“As an actor and director, I suggest that Hollywood filmmakers put the making of a movie about the king of Shinar, Nimrod, on their agenda,” the Iranian superstar wrote.

The development comes after Iranian director of ‘The Salesman’, Asghar Farhadi, as well as Hosseini’s co-star in the film, Taraneh Alidousti, boycotted the Oscar ceremony in protest at Trump’s visa ban.

Born in 1974, Hosseini is an Iranian actor, director, singer, producer and TV host. His appearance in ‘A Separation’ won him Silver Berlin Bear for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role at Berlin International Film Festival. He also received the best actor prize at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival for ‘The Salesman’.
